Black Kids On YouTube Your Kid Needs to Follow!
Hey Cuties,
LittleCuteLips loves to watch YouTube. She watches the regular YouTube + YouTube kids. After watching videos with her I decided she needed more. She needs to also subscribe to kids that look like her. So, I put out my battle cry for Black kids on YouTube on Facebook. Y’all not only showed up, but you also had a similar complaint so I figured I should share this with the masses. These channels have clean kid-friendly content. Share…
I thought not finding black kids on YouTube was a problem that only I had for my daughter. I had no idea that other moms were having the same problem. This is 2019 and we are still underrepresented in spaces. This is crazy to me if your kid wants to have a YouTube channel maybe consider it. My daughter has asked and I told her to get secondary approval from her dad. If he approves then I will help her start a channel. There is a void, and I don’t mind filling the gap.

Thanks, I’ve added them both.
Aw you used one of my suggestions with My Froggy Style. I love her channel so much but I am so happy you came of with this list. There does seem to be a lack of good wholesome content from melanted kids so thanks for a starter list and I hope it keeps growing!
I sure did, as people tell me more I will continue to grow the list. We need as many as we can get.
I’m going to backlink your post into mine! I didn’t think about the kiddos! I’m going to see if Maddie follows any of these kids.. her head stays glued to YouTube
Thanks, that would be awesome. Girl, all the kids stay on YouTube these days.
I love that these kids are getting out there and making a name for themselves. Such fun and positive vibes too!
Yes! I would love to continue to grow this list.
This is such a cool idea. I find it very hard to find things on YouTube for my younger children especially channels for people of color. My children are a bit young but will definitely look for this YouTube channel
It is extremely hard to find kids of color on YouTube. There is a huge need that needs to be filled.
I’ve got to show this to our son. Most of the YouTubers he watches are NOT Black and he’s anxious to start his own channel.
Please share, and when he starts his channel let me know. I will add him to the list.
Hi can you add my baby above to your list?
She’s also excited to follow all of these cute! Thanks for creating this
Yes, you sure can.
Hi,
Is it possible to get my childrens’ YouTube channel on this list?
The Lindley Bros Show

Thanks for your time
I sure will, thank you for reaching out to me.
Thank you so much for this list! My daughters are 2 & 4 years old. We are white. Given what’s currently going on in the world, I’ve realized that I can do better job of proactively seeking out peers that are amazing and dynamic, that may look a little different from them. Of course, as you can imagine, they didn’t even bat an eyelash. They just see happy children playing with toys and playing games. I have hope for our future generation. I will continue to listen, learn, educate and try and perpetuate change. Black lives matter! Xoxox.
Thank you so much for sharing this with them.
Hi! Thanks so much for putting this list together! My 7 year old daughter has a YouTube channel and we would like a feature since your list is growing! After seeing the videos she was watching on YouTube, I encouraged her to do her own. After 2 years of planning, we gave in and Aubreigh’s World was born! She is very excited and still plans her videos and has begun the editing process on her own. If you’d like to check it out, here is the link: https://youtu.be/tJfRbxR1fYY
You are so welcome, I had the same issue with what my kid was watching. I added Aubreigh to the list. 🙂
Million of thanks for starting a list! Representation matters big time. My girl beams every time she sees someone who looks like her.
Oh, Suzanne, I love that. Representation absolutely matters.
This is a great resource thank you very much. Has anyone found any good gaming channels for young boys?
I have not, but I will ask around.
I really appreciate this. I realized that my children are always watching families and children who don’t look like them. I really wanted them to see children like them having fun and being happy on their screens. Especially since we live in a area with mostly Caucasian people
I’m so happy we could share some options with you!
