Philly Road Tripping Moguls In Media : Terminal Market : Mazda 6

Hey Cuties,

How was your weekend? Are you at home on the sofa like me? How did you spend your Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday? Its freezing here, I’m talking 20 degrees cold with a chance of snow later in the week.

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Drive Shop & Mazda; all opinions are my own.

I promised to tell you all about my weekend trip to Philly. It started off with a dope Mazda6, that thang was HOT! I’m not a fan of white cars because they get dirty but this one here changed my mind. My family have always loved Mazda’s with my brother even having a Mazda Miata modification guide to keep his Mitata looking sleek. So, I was over the moon when I was offered the chance to drive the new Mazda6! The dope folks at Drive Shop were like oh you going to Philly, we like Philly, how about you and The Style Medic ride to Philly in this dope ride. You know what, you’re right we are totally going to do that thanks. Here we are honey…

This is quite possibly the best thing in all of Philly

This is the only place in Philly you need to go. Food, food and more food; had I known about this place I would have worn my #FatSnacks shirt.

Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese & Collards

The chicken was good, not the best I’ve ever had but good. Mac & Cheese was barely okay. Collards just okay.

Candied Yams

The best part of this entire meal was the candied yams. They were an eruption of perfection. Not pictured is the pound cake I also got. Hated it!

Because meat…

There was no shortage of delicious meats. The Amish run a lot of the establishments in there, so you know it’s fresh. Note: Go on Saturday because The Amish aren’t working on Sunday. You don’t want to miss out.

Grubbing going down…

I love to be amongst my people, folks who just want to eat.

We pulled it together napped off our food and headed to the Moguls in Media Event. Parking in Philly is just as bad as parking in DC. The event took place at The Clay Studio; it is a cute art studio. From comfy to classy.

If you’re going to go to Philly then I guess we should go to Ishkabibble’s. We tore down the Chicken Cheese steak with Broccoli, OMG it was so good. {Full Disclosure: I don’t like regular Cheese-steak.} I didn’t include a picture because it didn’t look good. That taste though.

We came. We saw. We ate. We weren’t really impressed with Philly.

I’m not a long distance driver, matter fact I’ve never done all the driving on a trip. Well I popped my cherry Mazda6 style. This fancy screen got me to and from safely. It tells you your speed, you know because speeding tickets aren’t cute. It also tells you your following distance if a car is in front of you. This was especially helpful since it rained/misty rained the entire time we were there.

What a great event, looks like a lot of great women in the room! I had a boss that used to LOVE his Mazda. He bragged about that car so much that I used to just ignore him…until we had to drive in his car on a business trip. Man listen, that car was super fast and so smooth. So I believe you when you say it was a fly ride. Oh and that screen is all kinds of dope.

I’ve been to Philly a couple of times, and I think it’s like a lot of places. You gotta go with the natives and let them take you to the real good spots. And I need that Bougie & Blessed shirt!
